Hand Sewn Birthday Greetings

Here's a beautiful but very simple card. I really love the stitching, I think the colored thread gives the card some real personality! This cute little girl is holding a fun surprise for someone.

All the stamps shown come from Plate #9. The little girl was stamped using Versafine black ink. I used Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils to color the image in and give it real depth. I trimmed her out and used 3d pop dots to adhere her to the stitched background. She's holding a cute package behind her back, so I put the Word "Surprise!" underneath her.

I then mounted that background onto another piece of stitched cardstock. I finished off the card by mounting the Happy Birthday! sentiment with 3d pop dots.
