Variations Week: Connie's View
I had so much fun playing with this adorable image
by Elisabeth Bell titled
"Little Curls"
You can find her over at
but only in rubber at this time, no digi sorry.
I colored her with Copics and Distress markers and
masked her off to airbrush the background.
I cut her on a SB circle die and matted over an
embossed (folder by Darice) background.
Add some sheer ribbon by Reasonable Ribbon and diecut
some pretty paper flowers
(die by Simon Says Stamp) that were cut
from pretty papers by Echo Park.
Added a sheer flower by Offray and
thought that was enough.
I wanted this pretty girl to shine on her own!
I really enjoy seeing what everyone does with the
same stamp and hope all of you
are planning to upload your creations as well.
Thanks for stopping by.

Connie-The Koi
I came across this image by ching-chou kuik titled
"The Koi"
that had been stamped onto some vellum
some time ago and decided to play....
I cut a white mat and then a frame by
fitting 2 dies together (by SB) and
airbrushed the scallop frame and
UTEE'd it.
Then I used some gorgeous background paper
from a seed corn company ad.... can you believe it?
I added some gel stickers in one corner but
didn't want to cover too much.
You can find this beautiful stamp over at
Thanks for stopping by!

Connie-Butterfly Birthday!
Here is one view of this gorgeous
from plate #2.
I think this plate has absolutely
THE most classically beautiful
images!!
I chose to stamp on cocoa cardstock with versamark
ink and emboss with powder...no color added!
I cut some lovely papers to match from
Colorbok's "English Meadow" set and added
a few diecuts by
memorybox
"Catalina Border"
The end result (in my opinion) is
a lovely piece with little time!
I made a second card using the same image below:
I made a second card using the same image below:
For this one I embossed in gold and colored
with Copics. I tucked the main image under
a cut of the pretty background paper
(from DCWV "Mariposa") in order
to make it useful for more than
a birthday.
Added a flower from my stash and
a pretty tiny diecut butterfly by
Cheery Lynn
"Exotic Butterfly Small"
popped up a bit.
Please check out the pretty stamps
from the earlier offerings over at

Connie-Snowy Mailbox
This card reflects our climate here in South Dakota today.
We woke up to 12 below zero with not much of
a rise in temps predicted. It is a good thing
we only have one inch of snow on the ground!
I stamped the beautiful image by
Teresa Sherman
"Snowy Mailbox" which you will find at
onto some white glossy paper and sponged
some Memento dye inks as well as a little Copic markers for color.
I cut a window frame by Cheery Lynn
"Window B"
and popped it over my scene to make it
appear one is looking out a window.
I tied a tag with computer generated words
with some bakers twine by
Doodlebug.
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to
stay warm!!

Connie-A Sweet Pea CAS Card
I used some stamps by
(image is by Elisabeth Bell
"Li'l Miss Polly") and the verse
is from SP's Plate #3.
The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug

The hardest part of the entire card
was fitting those pesky squares together!!

Connie-Thorne
This beauty is by Teresa Sherman for
Sweet Pea Stamps
and her name is "Thorne"
You will find her on plate #222
or by clicking
I colored her with Copics and Distress markers,
cut some scallops with SB
"Classic Scallops" die, layered with
pretty papers by Basic Grey from their "indian summer"
series. A little glitz from
some Distress Stickles "Worn Lipstick"
by Ranger & some die cut vines by
poppystamps dies and
that is all she needs IMO.
What is your opinion??
