Daisy Flower Fairy

This lovely lady is Daisy Flower Fairy by Jennifer Nilsson for Sweet Pea Stamps.

After I colored Daisy Flower Fairy I added stickles to both her and the bumble bee's wings.  Then I paired her with Kaisercraft paper and some assorted flowers I had on hand.  The flower centers are created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

I am so very excited to show you this card I made for my Son and Daughter In Law.  On Saturday they graced me with my newest Grandchild Jaxson!  He was 6 weeks early and weighs 5 pounds but is healthy!!!

This wonderful image is from SWEET PEA STAMPS and is by Jennifer Nilssons Art Collection called My Sister and Me.  It can be purchased as a single stamp or with 3 others and a sentiment.  Of coarse I used it as Mommy and Me!! I thought it was a fresh and sweet look for a new baby card.

Colored with copics and a dash of stickles.  I cut the seashells on my Cricut and popped them up for depth.  A computer generated sentiment and ready for the mail!

Don't Eat the Daisies....

Love that movie! When I first saw Jennifer Nilsson's Daisy Flower Fairy, that movie title kept popping into my head.

I also fell in love with those big eyes! Who wouldn't? I used Copics to color her and for a little glitter (the dots in her dress top, headband, earrings and the flower centers) I used my old glitter gel pens. I used Copic Opaque White to the petals using a small round brush.

I wanted the wings to look translucent so I didn't color them and applied Viva Decor Clear Gel Gloss. You'll notice the gray background, which was done (very quickly) using a regular watercolor marker. The upper half of the background is a grayish blue colored with Prismacolor pencil then blended with their blender pencil. The paper and embellishments are all scraps.... with all the snow we received last week and the bitter cold temperatures, it was pure joy to color this fairy!

Sea Dragon

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year! In last weeks post I had mentioned that I was totally out of sync coloring and I decided to really 'play' with the Copic colors. I had not had a chance to play with Jennifer Nilssons beautiful images from Plate #80, in particular this adorable little Sea Dragon:

I just let my fingers pick the colors and for once didn't worry about getting the shading right (because I never do, lo). For the background I also used Copic YR01 then went over it with the Blender pen pushing the colors towards the image.

Unfortunately I cut into the fish and the tail but salvaged the image by adding rhinestones.

I'm not particularly fond of these rhinestone 'strips' because of the glossy panel they come on but it sure is easier on the fingers. I used up some old adhesive backed ribbon and paired this image with one of the sentiments from Simply Vertical, cutting it apart in an attempt to achieve some balance.

Gem of The Ocean.....

One of my favorite places on the earth is the OCEAN so when I got the chance to showcase this magnificent creature I was so very pleased!!!  You can get this fascinating stamp at non other than Sweet Pea Stamps. It is one of our new artists' Jennifer Nilsson's "Sea Dragon".  You can purchase her as a single stamp or with 3 others and a sentiment.

I colored the stamp with copics and added stickles to give it some sparkle.  I took some photo paper and brayer-ed it to give an ocean like feel. The sea weed was made with punchanella ( what is left over after punching out sequins).  I cut a few sea shells on my Cricut and added a crinkle seam binding bow and a computer generated tag.  Last but not least a few gem stones were added for additional sparkle.  Working on this wonder makes me miss my opulent ocean and has me counting the days till I visit it again!!!  I hope you enjoy!

Jennifer Nilsson's My Sister and Me

Here's a wonderful new stamp designed by one of the newest artists, Jennifer Nilsson. This image is called My Sister and Me and comes from Plate 80. What a sweet stamp! I just love this darling image. Instantly I wanted to make a simple beach card that I could highlight with this image on top of it.I also used some adorable laser die cut seashells and some wonderful dragonflies. I added a small sun brad that says "Memories". To show the ocean I put in some torn paper in blue and some "foam" using paper in white. The sheet of stamps from Jennifer are super cute, including this stamp, a great Sea Dragon, a Flower Fairy and an adorable hatching dragon. Let Your Light Shine featuring "Sugar and Spice Dragon"

What a fun project! This is my first project using one of Jennifer Nilsson's images. I had a great time choosing papers and colors to use on this little cutie! Jennifer has some wonderful images now available at Sweet Pea Stamps! You will certainly want to check them out! I'm sorry I can't give you better direction on how I made the glittery background paper....it was years ago. All I can recall is that I used glittery acrylic paint. I love how this image worked so well with the Smooch and Glossy Accent products! Who doesn't enjoy some sparkle?

Linda Biggs and Jennifer Nilsson

Hi everyone. I have some cards to share with you using 2 of our new artist... Linda Biggs and Jennifer Nilsson. For the first one I used Mark Browne from Sheet #2 Plate #83. I decided to color the image similar to the original artwork as Linda's coloring is so bright and cheerful. I colored it with copic markers
