Steampunk Sally

Hello dear Sweet Pea Stamps lovers. Today I have to show you a more darker creation I recently made. The last ones were quite bright and colourful. Ok, I used bright colours here as well, but the first impression is dark, not at last because of this fabulous image by Teresa Sherman called 'Steampunk Sally'. She is soooooo beautiful and true fun to colour as it already haves some shadings on the stamped image. She is available on Plate # 212 together with three more gorgeous images, and is available as a single stamp as well. If you love Steampunk this image is definitely a must!

I coloured her with Copics, and the background papers are from BoBunny.

Have a wonderful day!

SWEETPEA DT INSPIRATION

This week I am sharing this fabulous image from Sweetpea stamps with you.  Teresa Sherman's Steampunk Sally - Sheet 4, Plate 212 available here.

Gothic/steam punk images aren't usually my thing as I'm not a lover of Dark images,  I find them difficult to do favouring cute - but I have to say I was expectantly drawn to this plate.

After colouring this stamp I thought it looked too clean for steam punk so decided to have a go at PUNKING IT UP - I had sprayed the image with a shine varnish so it was difficult to get the distressing inks to work.  I actually liked the finish result and was glad that the varnish had stopped the distressing inks from penetrating and saturating the image too much.

Done forget to check out those stamps at Sweetpea and check out those new artists too - I can't wait to get mine!

Meet Fae

Here's an amazing Sweet Pea stamp from artist Teresa Sherman named Fae from plate #212.  Isn't she stunning?  All the images on this stamp plate are just gorgeous.  Just wait until I make cards out of the others.  I just love the bold line on the drawing.  I added some wonderful butterfly diecuts and a thick scroll diecut for the center of the card.
Here's a close up of the Sweet Pea stamp

The gorgeous punch in the center is from EK Success.  The beautiful butterflies are diecuts from Cheery Lynn in the UK and these flowers are from Prima.  Hope you will drop by the store and check out all the Teresa Sherman Stamps.  Sweet Pea has released several new sheets of her designs that are amazing!

Cheers all!

Black Pearl

This gorgeous lady is an image drawn by Teresa Sherman for Sweet Pea Stamps.  Her name is Black Pearl.  She can be purchased alone or as part of 4 fabulous images on Plate #212.

I wanted to keep Black Pearl in cool water/ocean type colors so went with the blues and greens.  I had originally picked an entirely different pattern paper to go with this image, but as I sat at my desk to put together the card, I just knew it was wrong, and this one from Kaisercraft was better.

Get Inky!
