Artist Of The Week Nataliya's View

Hello all. Here is my post at Sweet Pea Stamps for Artist of the Week Showcase. This gorgeous image by Teri Sherman "Snowy Mailbox", and you can find it HERE. Image beautiful at self and don't need much of coloring, but sure pretty with all that sparkles.

 To decorate card i used snowflake punch and ribbon.

This lovely motive can be found both as digistamp and rubberstamp.

I really love this adoreable winter motive, so I´ve used the

digistamp and print it out smaller, so it fits on ATC cards.

Have colored with promarkers and flexmarkers, and used a lot of glitterglue!

This card reflects our climate here in South Dakota today.

We woke up to 12 below zero with not much of 

a rise in temps predicted.  It is a good thing

we only have one inch of snow on the ground!

I stamped the beautiful image by 

Teresa Sherman

"Snowy Mailbox" which you will find at

Sweet Pea Stamps

onto some white glossy paper and sponged

some Memento dye inks as well as a little Copic markers for color.

I cut a window frame by Cheery Lynn

"Window B"

and popped it over my scene to make it

appear one is looking out a window.

I tied a tag with computer generated words 

with some bakers twine by

Doodlebug.

Here is a card I have made using a technique called

"Distressed Water Backgrounds"

This is courtesy of Tim Holtz and his Distress Inks of course.

Also includes a lovely stamp by 

Teresa Sherman titled "Snowy Mailbox"

Below I have included photos of the steps

taken with this card for you:

First swipe Distress inks across a nonstick craft pad

keeping them a bit apart so not to contaminate them:

Then spritz water on them until small beads appear like this:

 Blot paper on this and heat until dry.

This is what it looks like the first time swiped and dried:

Swipe paper across wet inks a second time and dry with heat tool:

You can swipe and heat several times until you get the depth of color desired.

Then overstamp your image and finish.
