Connie-Where Are The Turtles?

I was playing with an image for
done by ching-chou kuik
titled
"Green Turtle"
EXCEPT
I removed the turtles and more.
Below is how the original stamp looks:

I turned this beautiful mermaid into
a beautiful lady!
Colored with Copics and layered onto a
Spellbinders die
"Decorative Oval Window"
made for Heartfelt Creations.
I added some floral touches, but no
more as I wanted to feature the image rather
than the bling.
Please check out the
site for many other lovely images.

Pumpkin Queen

Here's an awesome Sweet Pea Halloween themed image from artist Anna Marine called Pumpkin Queen (Plate #141).  What a great image!  I couldn't wait to make a card using this one.  I used some wonderful cardstock in the background with a silver spiderweb printed on it paired with some skull themed ribbon.
Be sure and stop by the Sweet Pea store and check out all of the wonderful Halloween themed stamps as well as the great specials that are going on right now.

Cheers all,  Holley

Pink Peony

Hello everyone, hope you're doing fine. When I created this card I was in a oriental mood, so I wanted to make a card with an asian touch. Sweet Pea Stamps haves the most beautiful images with this theme, one of it is this one from fabulous ching-chou kuik's called 'Pink Peony'. I decided to make her in green tones. She is available as a single stamp, and also comes together with three other amazing images on Plate # 162.

I coloured this gorgeous image with Copics. The background papers are from BoBunny.

Have a magical day now!

Have a 'boo'tiful day!

Here's an amazing stamp from Sweet Pea artist Anna Marine called "Trick or Treat."  I am guessing most gentlemen who look at her would not care if they were going to get a trick or a treat!  Isn't she stunning? Makes me want to go find a costume that looks like that!  be sure and check out the artist's coloring of this image as my depiction is very different.  I love to do that because it gives you many ideas from the same stamp!  I am just so excited for Halloween season because Sweet Pea stamps has so many beautiful Halloween theme stamps. Yeah!
Here's an enlarged version of the image so you can see some detail. I used copic markers to color my version of this stamp.  The stamp itself is approx 2.75" x 3.75"

Hope all these wonderful Halloween images are putting you in the mood, both for some Halloween fun and some Halloween cards.  Have a great weekend and get some fun crafting time in too!

Cheers, Holley

Connie-Steampunk Sprockets

This lovely lady is done by Meredith Dillman for
and is found on plate #87
"Steampunk Fairy"

I began with a white glossy panel on which
I stamped the image first with Memento's Tuxedo Black ink.
Then I pounced some wadded up wax paper that was dabbed with
Versamark ink and then brayered dye inks over for
a resist effect.
I then colored the image in with Copic markers and layered it on
an embossed panel by Provo Craft called
"Clockworks"
Several dies by Spellbinders were cut from
"Sprightly Sprockets"

Below is a closeup of the
embossing details.

I love the blue, green and red combination.

Variations Week: Holley's View

Hello everyone! I hope you have been enjoying the variations on the Toucan stamp this week.  This gorgeous design is from artist ching-chou kuik on Plate #211.  What a stunning image.  We don't have any toucans around here in Austin, but we are surrounded by native parrots.  Not the Scarlet Macaws, but green parrots actually live in the "wild" in my neighborhood.
The other day I was walking by my neighbor's house (she has bird feeders) and I looked up at the power line, there was ELEVEN parrots right there.  WOW.  Sight to be seen, and a squawk you can hear!  Now, if we just had these awesome toucans in our neighborhood, imagine seeing that.  I think the parrots actually came from Mexico at some time and just settled here.  Amazing.   Be sure and check out all the beautiful stamps on this sheet from artist ching-chou kuik.

Cheers, Holley

Variations Week: Alex's View

I have been having so much fun with these Variations Weeks.  I color up images that I either haven't before, or might not have gotten to like this one, Toucan by ching chou kuik for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I really love the images on this entire sheet.  You can see how I used the butterfly image "here" if you would like.  The colors for the Toucan were so cheerful and worked well with this Basic Grey paper.

Variations Week; Karina's View

Hello everyone, now it is my turn to show you what I made with this fabulous image 'Toucan' by ching-chou kuik's. I must confess I took an image of a real toucan to colour mine. And I quite like how it turned out. This image is available as a single stamp. And on Plate # 211 together with three more brilliant images.

I coloured the image with Copics. The background papers are from My Mind's Eye... love those papers! Below you can see a close up of the image.

I wish you a happy day!

Variations Week: Connie's View

This week the DT got to work with an image by
ching-chou kuik titled
"Toucan"
which you can purchase alone or with
other gorgeous stamps on
plate #211 over at

For my view I layered the image on a
diecut frame that came with my
Genius plates (no mfg name on this).
I layered this onto an embossed panel
(Spellbinders M'Bossabilities)
"Flower Fun" and added
a diecut by Marianne Creatables
and some flowers by Wild Orchid.
I double-cut one of the stamped
flowers and popped it up for dimension.

I found a color photo of this lovely bird
so I could get the colors somewhat close...
not sure if I succeeded?
Below is a close-up of the Toucan image
with the popped flower:

Be sure to stop back daily as the Team will
be giving you a sample of
different views all week!
