Two Lil' Halloween Cards

Hello! I thought I would bring you a couple of last minute Halloween themed cards today! For the first card I used Samantha Rawlings sweet Lil' Witch. I made a frame around her using four fancy corners cut with a Sizzix die and I tried to "connect" them on the long sides using tiny black gems. It is a little more crooked than I had hoped....but I still like the original idea!

The Details:
Stamp: Samantha Rawlings Lil' Witch - (sheet 2, Plate 62) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: K&Co (I think), Black and White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Skin: E000, E00,E11,R00,R20
hair: YG21,YG23,YG25,YG17
Clothes:V04,V06,V17,C5,C7,C9
Pumpklin and Car: Y15,Y17,YR16,YR18
Misc: Sizzix Corner die, Spellbinders Label Die, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, Darice Gems

For my second card I used Elaine Cox's Little Witch Cat. I colored the image with Copics and added a little Diamond Stickles around the moon and a little Crystal Effects to the kitty's eyes. I am not sure I really love how that turned out, but it is good to try something new sometimes, right?

The Details:
Stamp: Elaine Cox's Little Witch Cat (Sheet 9, Plate 59) - Sweet Pea Stamps
Paper: Bo Bunny, Black and White (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Copics:
Cat: W5,W7,W8,W10
Hat: V04,V06,V17,Y06
Background: BG32,BG34,BG16 all w/W1 over, YG03,YG25,YG17,Y000,Y00
Misc: Martha Stewart Web Border Punch, Ribbon (Papertrey Ink), Diamond Stickles

Happy Halloween!

Lil' Witch

I just love the cards I can do for the Halloween season. This cutie comes from artist Samantha Rawlings of Sweet Pea Stamps. She's called Lil' Witch. What a dear!! I really like the anime style designs of this artist. Right now Sweet Pea sells two sheets of designs from her. This image is one of my favorites. As the card says "Have a 'boo'tiful day!"That saying comes on the sheet of stamps, plate #62. I used copic markers to color the image and found wonderful skull and crossbone silver ribbon to add to the metallic mica-based purple sheen cardstock that I used as my cardbase. It came out just bootifully!

Cheers, Holley

Autumn pumpkin girl

It's getting really cold and fall-like where I live. The leaves are starting to change colours and the air is crisp and slightly too cold for me in the nights. No more sleeping with the window open :) I love this time of the year though and I'll try to take some photos soon of the beautiful nature I have in the neighbourhood.

I got so inspired I whipped up a card within one day (GASP! lol)

The stamp I have used is called Lil' witch (plate 62) by Samantha Rawling. I absolutely adore her drawings and I could barely wait to get my hands on them. This is my first card with her images and I have a feeling there will be many more.

The basic grey things I have used are the three papers. They are from the green at heart collection and are from left to right: recycle, seeding and grasshopper. I have used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the orange autumn words panel and a tree die from quickutz. As always I have used my promarkers to colour the image and the ribbon that used to be white.

Lil' Witch

This image is the Lil' Witch by Samantha Rawlings.  I adore the little mouse peeking from around the corner of her hat!  How sweet is that!  I love all of Samantha Rawlings Little Sweethearts and find them not only cute, but fun to color!  The sheet this image is part of also has a mermaid, fairy and angel!  Something for all seasons.  The angel would make a GREAT Christmas card or two!!!

4 cards to share

I colored this image "Cherish Christmas" by ching chou kuiks at Sweet Pea Stamps (sheet #21/ Plate #60) and decided I wanted to cover it with some glossy accents to make it look like glass. As I set down to create a card for her I had this idea of creating a card that looks like a church. I remembered I had a stained glass embellishment and then it all started to come together. I added pop dots to the center piece the steeple part of the church to give dimension to the church.

I drew in the side stained glass windows and colored it with copics then went over it with some Twinkling H2o's and then added some liquid glossy accents over them. I cut out black strips and pop dotted them to create the steps of the church. The bushes under the windows are some Vellum stickers that were actually trees that I cut and layered with pop dots to add dimension.
Here is a close-up of the image, stained glass and shrubs.

Here is a pic of the shine from the glossy accents.

I also added some yellow silky rope/twine around the steeple ( center part of the card) just to give it that finished look and it also hides the pop dots when looking at it from the side.

Well I hope this inspired you to get creative with your next card and do something different!!

I really love how this card turned out!! This Christmas card will go to someone special to me..My Mom!! She'll love it!!

For this card I used one of the New BIG Elaine Cox Halloween images called "Twilight Halloween" at Sweet Pea Stamps. These images are so much bigger than all the other Sweet Pea Stamps. My card is a 5.5 x 5.5 , so you can tell how big this image is. Supplies:
Stamp:"Twilight Halloween" Elaine Cox at Sweet Pea Stamps
Ink: Memento Tuxedo
Paper: Basic Grey "eerie", Bright green and black CS, the image was stamped on Neenah Solar Crest White CS
Accessories: EKSuccess Big Bat border punch, Prima Flowers, Flower punches, Making Memories Metal tag, silver adhesive pearls
Copics: E11, R01,E01,E00,E000, R22, R20
Clothes:YR09,YR07,YR04,Y38, G28,G14,G07,G08,FYG2,YG25,YG03 and YG01
Hair and gloves: C9,C7,C5,C3,C1

Background: BV04,BV20,BV23,BV11,BV31,BV00,V01,V000
Moon: Y04,Y00, E50,E51,Y32
Look at this Elaine Cox( Starry Halloween) image from Sweet Pea Stamps!!!!!!! Isn't it just gorgeous??? This image is HUGE!! I have her on a 6x6 card, so you can tell how big it is. I had the hardest time trying to get a decent pic of my card.. it is so much prettier in person. Sometimes pics just don't show the true beauty of someone artwork. I love that I was able to get so much dimension in her dress with my copics.

I used some Basic Grey eerie DP and circle chipboard. I used my new EKSuccess Big Spiderweb border punch. I love the bigger border punches they will be perfect for my Scrapbook pages

For this one I used one of Samantha Rawlings images at Sweet Pea Stamps and the name of this image is "Lil' Witch" sheet #2 Plate #62. I think she is so cute with her one eye showing!! The artist of this images is only 18 yrs old and she draws some of the cutest images.

I used some DCWV DP and a Creative Memories Jack-o-Lantern Die cut that I have had over 9 yrs..Talk about old. I added a pumpkin paper clip.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
