Connie-Fanciful Notions

I'm afraid I haven't done justice to this gorgeous image by
Meredith Dillman titled
"Fanciful Notions"
She is so lovely that I hated to add much
in the way of bling, not
wanting to detract from her beauty.
I have colored her with Copic markers,
used a pretty sticker by daisyd to frame her with
and added a sticky button by Jenni Bowlin.
The crackle background is a paper from my stash.

The sticker frame seemed to scream
"use me! use me!"
...so I did!

You can find this lovely image on plate #202 by clicking below:

Glow

Here's one of the newer images from a sheet of stamps by artist Meredith Dillman called Glow (Plate #202). She's a stunning image on a wonderful sheet of stamps. I love the shimmery wings she has and I added some gorgeous sparkle to them. Be sure to check out the artist's coloring so you can see how my coloring is a different touch.
I added a wonderful sentiment from Oliver Wendell Holmes that says "Where we love is home, home that our feet may leave but not our hearts." I added a huge heart shaped brad from Bazzill and used some yummy cardstock from SEI with gold embossing as my base. I just see this fairy looking out across some distance thinking about her home. As the saying says, even though we are not there, home is with us, in our hearts.
Here's a close up of this wonderful stamp. It's great both individually and with the whole sheet. Also, be sure to watch all the specials this week as Sweet Pea celebrates three years in business and drop by the DT blogs while each member has blog candy from Sweet Pea stamps to give away. My blog candy started on Wed the 25th, and you can still sign up by simply visiting my blog and leaving a comment on Wed's posting (Click here). Best of luck to win a wonderful prize this week as Sweet Pea is celebrating their 3rd year in business and don't forget their wonderful sale at the store!

Have a crafty day!

Emerald Dragon in Ruby

Meredith Dillman's most recent sheet plate #202 has 4 wonderful images, but I am partial to Emerald Dragon.

I enjoyed coloring the Emerald Dragon in Ruby colors this time.  I see a Sapphire colored dragon in my future as well.

Get Inky!

Elegant Ladies

Here's two wonderful cards using the new sheet that was released by Sweet Pea stamps artist Meredith Dillman (Plate #202). The first card uses Lady in Green, be sure to check out the artist's original coloring, which is stunning, and then look at my coloring here to see a different depiction. This stamp is so gentle and elegant. I added some clear shimmery glitter to her wings.

I also added some beautiful lace to the card that I think looks somewhat like a fan as well as matches the rounded cut used on the image base. I added a nice sentiment from Sweet Pea, "Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream proceeds the goal."

The second card is using a crafty lady, a seamstress, perfect for that crafter in your life. This elegant lady image stands out wonderfully on dark paper. She's designed by Meredith Dillman and is called Fanciful Notions. I colored with Copic Markers, the image was cut out using Spellbinders Nestabilities and edged using Creamy Brown Colorbox Chalk on the edges.

She's sewing in the image, which made her go perfectly with this border punch, using amazing looking textured ruche paper called Khaki Crepe. The card base is Epic Thick Black Columns. I also used creamy brown chalk on the edges to highlight the columned texture. The creamy brown matches the khaki crepe paper color very well. This card would be just perfect for that sewing crafter in your life. Think of the quilt makers, stitchers, seamstresses,...I know so many talented ladies in that line of work. They would just love a card like this.

Have a great weekend. Break out the stamps and have a great time!

Cheers, Holley

So SORRY..... Angela

Hi to all you awesome Sweet Pea fans.  Today I have 2 cards to share with you.  Sorry, I have been so quiet here lately in blog land, morning sickness has settled in and I have felt terrible this past week.
But I did finally get a chance to sit down and make a bunch of cards this past weekend and believe it or not I didn't color anything as all my images had been colored for weeks and months.  I do have a ton colored and ready to be made into cards.  Does anyone else do that or do you make a card as soon as you get the image colored?
Well my first card I have to share with you I used Meredith Dillman's "Fanciful Notions", and you can purchase her as a single or on sheet #7 Plate #202 with 3 other GORGEOUS images.  If you love this one then you will want the whole sheet as they are all so beautiful.

I used a K&Company Mat stack for my background paper. Here lately K&Company has some of the most  yummy papers out. I colored the image with copics and then cut it out and attached it to the background paper with foam squares. I added some roses form Wild Orchid Crafts, some dark pink glitter sprigs, Maya Road Sewing chipboard scissors, and a little old time fancy gold shoe button.
The WISH ticket is from Websters Pages and I attached it to a Spellbinder Fancy Labels die.

For my 2nd card I used this sweet image by ching chou kuiks called "Tender Cuddle" she reminds me so much of Spring and Easter. You can purchase her HERE as a single or on Sheet #31, Plate #110.

Here is a list of supplies I used for my Tender Cuddle card.
Paper: 6x6 Glitz Pretty In Pink paper pack
Spellbinders Oval Die
Tim Holtz Walnut stain Distressing Ink
Pop Dots for dimension
Pink ruffly Lace
CTMH Distressing tool
Pink staples
Wild Orchid Crafts rose
the little pink roses I got out of Michael's $1 bins
Pink Leaf pins
The image was colored with copics
Hair:
E50,E51
Skin: YR0000,YR000, and E11
Dress: RV09,RV06,RV04,RV02,RV00,RV0000
Bunny: E40,E41,E42, W3,W1 and W00

Thanks for stopping by today and your comments are much appreciated.
I hope you have a wonderful day and a Happy Easter.

Hugs:)

Spring Punk and a Dragon

Meredith Dillman's Lady in Green is another beautiful new release. She was colored with Spectrum Noirs, the papers are digis I found somewhere, flowers Prima and the gears came from an used up Glue Glider cartridge that I ran a copper paint pen over.

This is Meredith Dillman's Emerald Dragon also found on the same plate. Another gorgeous image it was colored with the Spectrum Noir markers, the background was green card stock I overlaid a tattered angels stencil on and sprayed with several different mists (a couple greens and a brown that actually looked like patina copper on white paper). The rock is covered with bronze stickles.

Don't forget to check out all the wonderful new releases for this month - they are all must haves!

Meredith Dillman's Glow and Fanciful Notions

Today I would like to share with you a new image from the Meredith Dillman collection, Fanciful Notions was really a delight to color. I used copics and the paper is from Teresa Collins.

This is Meredith Dillman's Glow from the same sheet of images. Gorgeous isn't she?

I colored this one with the new Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers. The papers are from 7gypsies.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit today!
