The topic of the One Sweet Challenge this month of "your favourite technique" was a tough one as I have many favourite techniques eg colouring with alcohol pens, using dies, making my own background papers and using different colour schemes. I make my cards solely to sell to raise funds for different charities. I often get sent items from fellow crafters for me to use. Sometimes the papers aren't what I would buy/use so my favourite technique at the moment is to either stamp on patterned paper or like the card above to put it through an embossing folder and then drag an ink pad over the top. This has helped me to use up so many papers that it won't be long before I'll need to buy papers!!!
For my card I have used the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Owl Territory". This image is available as a digital stamp, a single rubber stamp and as a plate of 4 stamps (Sheet 50, Plate 238 - Owl Territory comes on the sheet along with Spring Nocturne, Starlight Magic and Purple Immersion). I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and highlighted areas with my Pan Pastels. One of the backing papers I have used is Bearly Mine Designs Spring Surprise but the others I was given. I have finished the card off with a Marianne Designs die-cut, lace, foam flowers and a butterfly which I've added Perfect Pearls to the centre and some mica, buttons and a Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment.
