Connie-Be My Valentine

This set lends itself to love very well doesn't it? I stamped several of the small Sweet Pea Stamps hearts in red on white paper and one large heart on a white scrap which I trimmed and sponged black around the edges. I affixed the large heart with pop dots and added tiny jewels on both sides. I punched the corner and set a small red jewel in each before layering onto black and then red base.

For the verse I put tape over the word "love" before inking with black and then removed the tape and colored with red marker the word, then stamped. As you see, it gives another slant to the verse that way.

This card was published in Vamp Stamp News in the February 2010 issue and it is running on my anniversary....how cool is that?
