Featured Artist - Charmaine Flannery's Blue Mermaid

Each month at Sweet Pea Stamps we showcase the work of one of our fabulous artists and this month it's the turn of Charmaine Flannery. For my creation this week I chose to work with her Blue Mermaid digi stamp:

 

 

I coloured the image using Prismacolor pencils and added some white Perlen Pen to the bubbles:

 

 

 

I decorated my card with patterned paper and used a gold marker to edge the paper and the image. I attached the image using foam tape and layering it over a decorative doily.

 

 

I finished off the card with lots of pretty blossoms and some flourishes dotted with the Perlen Pen.

Artist of The Week with Nataliya's View

 This week at Sweet Pea Stamps is my favorite week. It's Artist Of The Week, with Charmaine Flannery!!!! And we can choose any stamp we like to use.  
I challenged my self this week by doing Steam Punk card with gorgeous image "Clara". Look HERE for the stamp.

 Image colored with Distress Ink pads. Vintage lace was added around image.

 I have little tiny frames for a long time, and didn't know where to use it. so finally i added to this card. I put air dry clay inside the frame, then added gold PearlEx wile it's still wet. After it dry, i covered clay with dimensional magic Mod Podge and placed metal Dragonfly on the top.

 Another metal element 'Friendship" sentiment, by giving touch of gold with Sophisticated Finishes paint

 One of my new Die, that i love it. I cut it out of cereal box (you know me by now), then inked, added 3D-Stamp Paint, which gives that gold shimmer, that i totally love. Then on the top of that paint i covered everything with Dimensional Mod Podge. Metal brat on the corner to keep clock hands hold together.

 Papers was inked and distressed. Also i used Glossy and Crackle Accents, SU Shimmer paint 74 champagne mist

Artist of the Week Charmaine Flannery "Nectar of Life".

Sometimes you have those days, it's not going the way you want.
And now this happened to me too.
But because once I like working with my hands,
I still made ​​something for the artist of the week.

I decided to just go for some messing around with the distress pads.
I made the background of the paper, and I have then stamped.
I made ​​a series of small cards.
A scribble we call it, perfect for a little message.

I hope it goes better next time.
But sometimes you have those days ...

susan take on Charmiane Flannery's "Big Bad"

Kym's Weekly Post

Here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "One and only heart". It is available as a digital stamp and rubber stamp. 

I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens. The backing papers are from Summertime Designs. The flowers I have made from die-cutting flowers shapes from a book and then colouring the die-cuts with my Graph'it pens. I have inked around the edge of the layers with my Tim Holtz's Black Soot distress ink to keep in with the pink and black colour scheme. 

I have finished the card off with some raffia ribbon, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiments and some pearls.

Yes I know Christmas has come-and-gone for 2013 but I am determined to be more organised for 2014 so here is a card I have made using a Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Cherish Christmas". It is available as a digital stamp, and a single rubber stamp.

I have coloured my image in with my Graph'it pens. The backing papers I was given. I have finished the card off with a sentiment off the Perfect Companions Christmas CD, poinsettias, washi tape and pearls.

Variations Week: Holley's View

 Here's a stunning image from Sweet Pea artist Rebecca Sinz called Wither.  This gorgeous stamp is available both in rubber or in digital format.  Be sure and click the link to see the artist's original coloring as I did my card using totally different colors so you can see a different way to feature this image.

Here's a great close up of the image itself;  isn't it great to see all the designers are making cards using this same stamp. What a great way to see how many different things you can create with the same image!

Variations Week: Shanna's View

Hey everyone. Shanna here to share my project for Variation Week. This week you got to see all the designers use the image created by Rebecca Sinz called Wither. She comes in digi and rubber!

I got to use some of my darker color flowers in my stash. I really love the rich tones with the pop of the image. 

Here is a little more of a close up. Of course she is colored with copics. I paired the image with some papers from Crate Paper I believe.

I also added some Crackle Accents to the roses just to add some fun of texture.
