Snow queen has it all...

...and then some! I went crazy with the colours for this card. Have you ever seen so much going on? It was a delight to colour though.

For today's card I've been playing with a wonderful winter scene drawn by Linda Biggs called snow queen.
I couldn't decide on a colour scheme, but knew I wanted to add some sparkle to the flakes. I started out by using blue, but it got a bit too much so after finding these papers with pinks and reds I went all in :) Maybe a bit too much, lol.

I struggled with it and I'm not sure if I like it or if it's too cluttered. I wanted the image to stand out more, but it almost got lost here. On the other hand it coordinates with the papers and embellishments quite well. Ultimately I think I need to give this image another go.

Our Little Angel

Today I am featuring another one of the many artists of Sweet Pea Stamps.  This is Samantha Rawling's Lil' Angel! This is my first time creating with one of her Little sweethearts and I adored it!!!  My sweet little Angel Gracie will be having her 3rd birthday soon and I made this one for her.  With as many Grandkids as I have I have to stay ahead!

I colored my sweet thing with my copics and then glossy accents were applied to those big eyes of hers.  Her wings were covered with Glitter Institutes transparent glitter and yellow stickles were added to her hairpiece.  I then added the little white dots to give some more dimension with my Opal Liquid Pearls. I added a bit of lace to keep the softness I wanted and a homemade flower from ribbon with a tiny bow behind. To finish it off I made the sentiment on my PC, added it to a tag and tied on our heart with a little charm!

Gem of The Ocean.....

One of my favorite places on the earth is the OCEAN so when I got the chance to showcase this magnificent creature I was so very pleased!!!  You can get this fascinating stamp at non other than Sweet Pea Stamps. It is one of our new artists' Jennifer Nilsson's "Sea Dragon".  You can purchase her as a single stamp or with 3 others and a sentiment.

I colored the stamp with copics and added stickles to give it some sparkle.  I took some photo paper and brayer-ed it to give an ocean like feel. The sea weed was made with punchanella ( what is left over after punching out sequins).  I cut a few sea shells on my Cricut and added a crinkle seam binding bow and a computer generated tag.  Last but not least a few gem stones were added for additional sparkle.  Working on this wonder makes me miss my opulent ocean and has me counting the days till I visit it again!!!  I hope you enjoy!

Sweet Pea Stamps

I cut an oval shape from white glossy and ran my brayer over to give it color, then cut another oval

without the fancy edging (to fit inside the first oval).  I cut another oval and put just part of that over my dp paper, cut one corner with a punch & layered this all together.

Then I added pink rhinestones and pearls to the little ovals around my frame.

Brigid Ashwood's Pinky

Finally! Do you guys know how much I've been wanting to play with some of the fabulous new stamps that Sweet Pea Stamps recently released? I've had "Pinky" colored for a couple of weeks but have not had a chance to create a card until this past weekend - sad I know!

Brigid Ashwood's Pinky is colored with Copics, the background was done with Distress Inks and a blending tool. I used a Viva Decor gel pen like a brush filling in the heart which gave it some interesting texture and shimmer. The paper is part of a Tattered Angels Make n Take I brought home from Summer CHA and thought it would compliment the colored image perfectly. For the ruffle at the bottom, I had sprayed white crepe paper with Glimmer Mist and adhered it to the back of the flocked & sprayed paper. Another handmade rose and some ribbon scraps and my card was complete.

Now to find time to play with all the other gorgeous stamps available at Sweet Pea Stamps :-).

This is Growing Dazzle, she was colored with copics, the papers are BoBunny and the flowers are Prima.

This is  Fox Allure, she is also colored with copics, the papers are Basic Grey, DCWV and BoBunny.

Purple and Aqua Comfort ......

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite stamps from ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art Collection called Purple Comfort. Now since I colored her in Aqua and Purple I am changing her name a bit!!! You can purchase this glorious lovely as a single or on a sheet with 3 other beauties at Sweet Pea Stamps.

She was colored with copics and then I added some glitter on the lace of her dress, bows in her hair and on the wings of her kittens. I also took liquid pearls and stickles and gave her the dots around her body on my signature chalked background. To make the frame I chose to add an accordion ribbon treatment one side and the bottom and double mat the others. Pearls in purple and aqua finish the look.  Thank you for allowing me to share with you today!
