Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson
Have you been enjoying our featured artist this week? This week each design team member is choosing an image created by Rachel Anderson. Today I am using the image Angelic.
I colored her with copics and paired her with some My Mind's Eye papers and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.
Hope you have been inspired all week. Now go get some stamps!
Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson
Hi everyone! It's me, Holley, brining you a card today from the Featured Artist this week, Rachel Anderson. I am using a beautiful image she created named Queen Of Hearts. This image is available as a digi-stamp or as a rubber stamp (plate #201). I am using a red card here, that is quite large, I ran the front of the card through my machine to emboss it and then added a sheet behind it to give it a double layer.
Here's a close-up of the stamped image, it's so very delicate and detailed, like all of Rachel Anderson's images
I hope you have been enjoying all the wonderful cards this week using this artist's images, be sure and check them all out at the Sweet Pea store.
Cheers, Holley

Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson
It´s Featured Artist Week, and my choice of
Rachel Anderson´s lovely motives is the sweet little Angelic.
I colored the motive with distress markers, and
I´ve used lots of white gesso, white crackle paint and
at her wings there are "Flowersoft".
Big hugs Milo

It's time for the Artist of the Week at Sweet Pea Stamps! This week we are showcasing stamps from the artist, Rachel Anderson. You can find her digi stamps~HERE and her rubber stamps~ HERE! Be sure to visit the blog so you can see the other designers fabulous creations too!!
I chose to work with the digi stamp, Sunrise, which can be found HERE! and it is also available in rubber form~HERE and on Sheet #2, Plate #111~HERE!
The image is colored with copics and then I cut it out with a nestablities die. While it was still in the die I sponged ink around the edge for a shadow/background effect. I paired her with papers from 7 Gypsies~Avignon and added a few Ornate Hinge diecuts from my SCACD die. Some pearls and stickles finish the card off.
Have a wonderful day!

It was very hard for me to pick an image because I love so many of her images. I finally decided to use Amanita Muscaria because of the mushrooms and the pose of the fairy. I colored her with copics.
The background paper is from My minds eye.
The flowers are from Prima and the saying is on a spellbinders die.
Here's a close up
Thanks so much for your comments. They mean a lot to me.
Love, Viola

Featured Artist Week : Rachel Anderson
It's Featured Artist Week again and this month the Design Team are showcasing the stunning artwork of Rachel Anderson. I chose to work this this beautiful stamp called Amanita Muscaria:
I'm going through a bit of a minimalist, CAS phase at the moment and I think the clean and simple style works well with this pretty framed image. I coloured the image using Prismacolor pencils and added highlights to the white dots on the mushrooms using a white gel pen:
I kept my card really simple, matting white card onto black card for a border and layering a die-cut flourish behind the image. It would be easy to add a simple stamped sentiment to this card for whatever occasion I might choose.
Rachel's beautiful stamps are available in both digi and red rubber format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store and will be on special offer for this week only. :)

Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson
Welcome to our monthly “Artist of the Week” here at SweetPea Stamps (SPS). Our artist this week is Rachel Anderson. I love Ms. Anderson’s
fantastical images. I chose to create with “Forget-Me-Not.” You can find her
images in digital format or rubber stamp format on Plate #173, whichever you prefer
for your little pieces of art.
I kept “Forget-Me-Not” very simple. I used Copics in blues
and greens and added some Spicas in blue and green. I did some highlighting
with a white gel pen. I also thought that the little forget-me-nots needed some
centers, so I dug up my gold acrylic paint and a detail brush and went to town with little gold dots.
The only embellishments that I used were Spellbinder’s
Radiant Rectangles and some pearls from my stash. I will have more details on
my blog, AJ's Designs, tomorrow.
I hope that you can play in our challenge at One SweetChallenge. If you do enter, and you use an SPS image, please share your
creations with us in our SPS Facebook group. To keep up on all the happenings
at SPS, take a visit to our SPS Facebook page.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you stop by every day for a
little Sweet Pea inspiration!

Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson
This week is Artist week.
And now it's time for the art from
Rachel Anderson.
She makes gorgeous art.
I choose to make something of
"Snow Fae".
This gorgeous stamp is availble
at:
and is also availble as a digi:
Christmas is coming!
So I decided that a Christmas Ornament would
be lovely to make.
First I colored my Snow Fae with my distresspads.
And Clear embossed it.
( I add 3 layers of Clear embossingspowder)
Than I put it in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
And than I cracked it, so you see now that there
are cracks on the image.
I distressed it with Walnut Stain distresspad.
I remembered that I had a MDF wooden frame.
So I decided to pimp it up with Marianne Design Christmaspaper.
On the back of the frame, I glued lace for the vintage look.
On the frame I cutted snowflakes from a die cut from Joy!.
I embossed it with holographic embossingspowder.
So, here is my "Snow Fae"
from the lovely artist Rachel Anderson Collection.
I hope you like her... and take a peek to what the other DT-members have made!

Featured Artist Week: Rachel Anderson
It is Artist of the Week
time over at the Sweet Pea Stamps Blog.
This month the Artist of the Week is Rachel Anderson. All members of the Design Team use a Rachel
Anderson image and make a card/creation with it.
For my Artist of the Week
card I have chosen Rachel Anderson’s image called “Sunrise”. It is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 2, Plate 111 –
Sunrise comes on the multi-image plate with Amanita Muscaria, Pixie Dust and
Twilight Shimmer).
I have coloured my image in with Graph'it pens and highlighted areas with my clear Wink of Stella pen. I have die-cut around the image and used a set of peg pens of flowers and leaves and stamped around the image. I have used a yellow Pan Pastel to colour around the image.
The backing papers I have used are from my Perfect Companions CD. I have finished the card off with some lace, ribbon, crochet flowers a friend made, buttons, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and a butterfly made out of air dry clay coloured with two tones on yellow Pan Pastels.

Here are some other cards I have to show you this week.
Here are some other cards I have to show you this week.
As Christmas will soon be here I decided to make a Christmas card using the Sweet Pea Stamps image by Ching-Chou Kuik called "Holly Fairy". It is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 21, Plate 60 - Holly Fairy comes on the multi-image plate with Poinsettia Fairy, Holly Night and Cherish Christmas).
I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers/Flexmarkers and then inked around the edge with Tim Holtz's Crushed Olive and Peeled Paint distress ink. I have added Glossy Accents to the holly berries.
The backing paper is a freebie from a magazine last year. I have mounted the image on a Marianne Designs die-cut frame. I have finished the card off with some ribbon threaded through the holes, die-cut flower cut from tissue paper and held together with a brad, Marianne Designs die-cut holly, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and some pearls.

Here is another holly Christmas card but something totally different. This time I have used a Rebecca Sinz image called "Holly". She is available as a digital stamp, single rubber stamp and as part of a multi-image plate (Sheet 12, Plate 236 - Holly comes on the multi-image plate with Hemlock, Witching Hour and Dragon Angel.
I have coloured the image in with my Graph'it pens. The backing papers I was given. Due to the expense of posting cards I am trying to keep the height of cards to a minimum so it doesn't cost people a lot to post. I have therefore embellished with some washi tape, gems, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and made a flower out of tissue paper with a brad centre and red Stickles rubbed over it (messy but very effective).

On the Mark
I wanted to share a project I made with some of the newer releases. Bookmarks are a quick and simple item to make for little gifts. They fit perfectly inside a card and any avid reader will enjoy finding them in the mail.
The first bookmark was created using the image Free Love by Karen Middleton, it is currently available as a digi stamp.
This image is Helena Reis's Dia de los Muertos, isn't it adorable? It is available in both rubber and digi.
