How fabulous are these stamps - I love these little boys their just so cute and only having a son they remind me of him when he was small.  He adored playing in the sand and come to think of it he was quite a water baby.

Sorry couldn't get a great photo - think the spray varnish was affecting the image of the first boy.

These are both from Elizabeth Bell's latest collection of stamps.

Silk Dance

I have been having a lot of fun revisiting some of the earlier Sweet Pea Stamps, especially those in the ching chou kuiks Fantasy Art Collection.

This one is called Silk Dance and is part of Plate #54.  As to be expected, every image on the plate is wonderful.  I paired the image with some paper from the Authentique Gathering.  Added a wide ribbon and some soft brads.  I love the water and earth feel of these colors all together.

Blog Candy!!!!

What is your current favorite image, here at Sweet Pea Stamps?
I will keep this open until Friday night.
I will pick 3 winners on Sunday.
Each winner will win a 3 count grab bag

You tug at my heart strings

You tug at my heartstrings. Doesn't this image? I know she does for me. She's just the cutest! That's one of those images that I can look at and just immediately know that artist Elisabeth Bell is the creator. Sweet Pea Stamps just came out with this stamp, called "A Warm Fuzzy Hug" and there's three new stamps that are being released this month from Elisabeth Bell (Click here).
Here's a closeup of the image, colored with copic markers

She just makes me think back to all those times when I was a little kid hugging a teddy bear or often a blanket or pillow. The paper used on this card is a shimmery flocked paper from Heidi Grace. I added an additional layer of thickness to it by using some AC Metallic paper. Be sure to check out the wonderful new stamps from artist Elisabeth Bell at the Sweet Pea store. You can also check my blog for some great Sweet Pea stamps being given as blog candy.

One more project to share today, here's one of the newer stamps that artist Rebecca Sinz just released. It is part of a 4 piece set, sold individually or as a sheet of stamps, this image is called "Seasons Summer" (Plate #200). If you check out the artist's coloring on this image and then see mine, you can see how versatile this image is. I think of this coloration of the stamp as more of spring inspired version.

I tried to add a lot of bright and vibrant colors to her and to the card. She's just a stunning image, I feel it hard to do her justice. Be sure and check out the other stunning stamps in the Seasons series from this artist.

I hope this inspired you to go make some fun and playful cards as well as some beautiful romantic type cards.

Cheers, Holley

SHARON SHARING

Hi - it's my turn Sharon to share some inspiration.

Seems so long ago since I last did my post!  I haven't been able to craft much lately due to illness so I used a stamped image I'd coloured a while ago but had never got around to making into a card - I think because I was stumped and didn't know where to go with the design!

Fortunately, for me I had some bits and pieces on the floor sorting out which papers to use with what images etc and this sweetpea image just happened to be lying on the design paper I've used.  Problem solved and away to go!

The stamps is Meredith Dillman's Pearl and is available here as either a single stamp or as part of a set of four ©Meredith Dillman's sheet 5, Plate 107.

I hope you like what I've done with her - you are welcome to check out my blog here for further details.

Best wishes,

Irish Chick

Today I wanted to show you one of Joanne Schempp's newest stamps called

This isn't the best picture as my camera batteries were going dead, but I think you can still see all the glitter and sparkle on the image.

Lori is on YouTube Today!

Today on the Sweet Pea Stamps Youtube channel, Lori has a new video showing a Paris-inspired vintage box using a Sweet Pea stamp from Plate 6. She also demonstrates on the video how to achieve the distressed crackle finish she used on the wooden box before embellishing it.

Little Curls

Hi everyone! Today I want to show you a card I made with one of my fave images from the sweet Elisabeth Bell Designs Collection. It is called 'Little Curls'. Isn't she just too cute how she is sitting there and waiting for... hmm... for what do you think? I guess she is waiting for her little kitty coming to her and lie down on her legs... :o) Any other ideas?

This time I made a gate fold card. It is opening in the middle. The twine I put through some eyelets holds it together. The papers I used for my card is My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Breeze. The sentiment is from Sweet Pea Stamps as well.

I coloured her with Distress Inks.

Here's the inside of the card...

Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Karina

Blue Eye Fairy

This image is called Blue Eye Fairy and is drawn by ching chou kuik for Sweet Pea Stamps.

As you can see, I gave her brown eyes today (because I am a rebel like that).  The thing I love very most about this image is the eyes.  They are all soft and loving, kind of like a puppy dog.  I paired her up with paper from the Authentique  Gathering collection.  The damask background gives her a regal feel and the velvet ric rak just adds to that.

Blue Eye Fairy can be purchased by herself, or even better, on a full sheet with three of her beautiful friends!  She is on Plate #28.

Picking Posies

Hi everyone, hope you're doing fine. Are you waiting for spring as well? I do... and to shorten the time till it arrives I created a springlike card to give a bit of a spring feeling. And what image would be better for this as this new sweet little girl by the fabulous artist Elisabeth Bell. This cute image is 'Picking Posies'. I coloured her with Copics and wanted to use a range of pastel colours. And I thought this sentiment by Sweet Pea Stamps is perfect for this card.

Have a wonderful day!

Under the Sea

I think Under the Sea is one of the most stunning mermaid images ever.  I completely enjoy every time I color and create with it.  Isn't the hair fabulous?

I paired her up with some Kaisercraft paper, flowers and button thingys (technical term there!).  She is so elegant by herself, it is hard not to have the end result be fabulous.

Under the Sea is drawn by Katerina Koukiotiss for Sweet Pea Stamps.  She can be purchased alone, currently on sale in the overstock section, or on a full sheet with three other stunning images.

Fading Love

Here's a stunning new image from artist ching-chou kuik called Fading Love (Plate #199). I used a mono-tone theme on this card, but in a round about kind of way since I widened the color family to include all tones of blue. I also added just a tiny tint of green in there, to help tie the blue green and the rich blues together.
Here's a close up of this wonderful stamp, if you go to the store, you will see how differently she is colored by the artist, with black hair and a red dress on.

I hope this card gives you some wonderful ideas for the new stamps from this artist. Have a great time making valentines. This stunning blue card will certainly bring a smile to the face of my valentine. Drop by Holley's blog as I am having a Feb month long celebration filled with prizes.

Cheers, Holley

A day of creating

Today I have 2 cards to share with you.  This first one is an image by ching-chou kuiks called "Pale Moon" and she can be purchased as a single or on sheet #41 Plate #199.

I wanted to use my new copics that just came in so I colored her hair green with G40,G43,G46,YG65,G20 and YG01.  The background is colored with V20,V22,V25,V28 and a mix of V20 and V25 that I created.
The flower is colored with RV52,RV55,RV66 and RV69. I colored her skin with YR0000,YR000,R12 and E11.

My 2nd card I used a sweet image by Conie Fong called "Kissed by an Angel", sheet #2 plate #198.

I used a pre cut little card and added some paper to cover it. I used a Spellbinder labels die behind the image.  I also added a heart doily behind the image and attached the ribbon behind the image and through the bend of the card then tied it in a bow.  I finished it up with a flower swirl chipboard piece some roses and a piece of ruffly lace behind the front piece of the card.

I colored the image with copics.

Well that's it for me today. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day.

Hugs:)
Angela
