Jane presents Wonderland by Molly Harrison

Good day folks :) Today I am sharing a card I have made using the fab image Wonderland by Molly Harrison available from Sweet Pea Stamps as a digi

To begin with I coloured the image with Promarkes, Faber Castell Polychromos and then used chalks for the background.

I then created my card blank  and stamped a cherry blossom rubber stamp onto mauve paper using a embossing stamp pad.  Chalks were used again in a mixture of colours to tone in with the image.

Next I took the contrasting colour - burgandy, and created the frame by using the border die from the Sizzix - love, birds and hearts set.  The butterflies and rose were made using vellum and Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and Cherry Lyn Designs mimi butterflies.  To finish off I added a blue bow and several gold metal stars.  The inside of the card was created with more of the design paper I made, the border die and some more gold stars.  To make the cut out design I used the Crafts Too floral flourish die and the section that was cut out was added to the front of the card with a spray of pearls.

Ingredients:-
  • Image - Wonderland by Molly Harrison
  • Colouring Medium - Promarkes, Faber Castell Polychromos and then used chalks for the background
  • Dies -  Sizzix - love, birds and hearts set.  The butterflies and rose were made using vellum and Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms, Cherry Lyn Designs mimi butterflies and Crafts Too floral flourish die
  • From my Stash - gold stars, chalks, pearls, ribbon,

Holley Presents Teapot Pixie By Karen Middleton

Here's a fun Sweet Pea stamp from artist Karen Middleton who is the featured artist this month. This adorable image is called Teapot Pixie.  I colored up her teapot in a set of Blue-Violet copics.  This card opens from the center, so the image is connected to the left and side and the sentiment is mounted only to the right side.    The lace in black and white is washi tape.

Here's a close up of this adorable image from artist Karen Middleton. Be sure and check out all of her fun images at Sweet Pea stamps available in both rubber and digi format.

Be sure and check out the Facebook Group for Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans.  We have lots of fun contests, giveaways, coupon codes, card shares and more.  Join in the crafting with us there.

Tera Presents Voyage II - Lucy Loo By The East Wind

 Hallo,
I have a fun little box project to show you today made using a rubber stamp image from Lucy Loo called 'Voyager II'
I colored her with prismacolor pencils and used an 'out-of-the-box' technique to cut her out with a die.
  I added some steampunky trinkets
and a gold corner piece made from clay and a silicone mold.
I used old drawer pulls for the 'feet' on the box and another one for the handle to open the box.
I had fun making this one and have another one in the works with this image too.
All for today - Take Care
      Tera

Jane Presents Art Nouveau Two By Karen Middleton

Today is my day to showcase and image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I have chosen to work with the beautiful image Art Nouveau Two  by Karen Middleton which is available from the Sweet Pea Store in both rubber and digi.

This week is Artist week and the whole DT will be creating with the wonderful images by Karen Middleton - a exceptional artist who has images to suit every taste, from the cute we animals to the stunning figure drawings.

I think this is the only time I have bought a die to use with a specific image and would you believe it has taken me almost a year to get round to using it hahahahaha - life does have a funny way of getting to busy at times :)

I started by colouring the image with Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils and a silver pen.

Next I cut my lovely Sizzix - 657556 die using silver card.  This was mounted on black card and I filled in the spaces with Glossy Accents hopefully to give a glass effect when dry.

For the spray on the right hand side I made some gem stems using red beads, black pearls and silver beads.

The bead stems were grouped with silver lilies, red and black feathers and the fabulous metal heart, so perfect for this card theme I think.

I covered the inside of the card with red card which I embossed then cut the die again in silver and mounted it on black.  The die was cut again using white card so I could include a white writing area.

The main card was embossed with the same Embossilicous folder I used for the inside and on the right hand side I added a broad velvet die cut lace I have (the image has been over exposed here so you can see it).  On the actual card this velvet lace is more for a tactile theme than to be visible, sort of like an extra surprise :) :) :)

The die mount was turned 180 degrees from that of the inside die just to give a bit of difference.  And there we have it, all done.

Ingredients:-
  • Image - Art Nouveau Two  by Karen Middleton
  • Colouring Medium - Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils
  • Dies - Sizzix - 657556
  • From my Stash - Silver and gold pen, feathers, beads, pearls, metal heart
Thank you for stopping by today and hope you have a happy crafting time ahead of you :) xx
