Forget Me Not - Jane's view

Sweet Pea Stamps

Today is my day to showcase and image from Sweet Pea Stamps and I have chosen to work with the beautiful image 'Forget Me Not'  by Rachel Anderson which is available from the Sweet Pea Store in  digi format.

I started adding my text to the image before printing, there is another wee bit to the text which is not shown here and is used on a mount later on.  Next I coloured the image with Faber Castell Polychromes pencils.
After cutting all my mats on my die cutter I set to work on completing the topper text section.
With the basic bits now all done it was time to assemble. I started by embossing the two square mats with an Embossilicious folder.  The blue mat was attached to the card.  The white one had lace applied and then was also glued to the card.  The digi section had a string of iridescent pearls glued round the edge and then I placed this on the oval blue mount.  For the inside of the card I used Spellbinders Scalloped Square and then I cut eight Tattered Lace Doily Coners, four for the inside of the card and four for the outside.

Ingredients:-
  • Image -  'Forget Me Not'  by Rachel Anderson
  • Colouring Medium - Faber Castell Polychromes pencils
  • Dies - Square and Oval dies by me, Spellbinders Scalloped Squares and Tattered Lace Doily Coners
  • From my Stash - lace, pearls and bow
Thank you for stopping by today and hope you have a happy crafting time ahead of you :) xx

Featured Artist Mitzi Sato-Wiuff, Little Miss Mushroom

Here's an awesome image from Sweet Pea artist Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.  This image is called Little Miss Mushroom.  Isn't she just darling?  I did this card up in bright spring colors and added a simple sentiment "Celebrate the everyday." I know now that we have moved from some dreaded winter weather to the nice everyday 60-70 degree weather that I am definitely doing that.

This week on the Sweet Pea Blog all the design team members are creating cards using images from Mitzi, so drop by over there to see lots of creations using her image or go to the facebook Sweet Pea Stamps Friends and Fans page where we all share cards, have fun contests and chat daily.

Cheers, Holley

'Little Shepard' Christmas cards - Tera

 Hallo,
A batch of sweet and simple Christmas cards for you today - when I am running out of time and still haven't finished all the cards I need to send I turn to a simple layout and a sweet image like this one from Sweet Pea Stamps called 'Little Shepard' by Aurora Wings.
I colored him several different ways with prismacolor pencils (love trying out all the different color combinations) and then cut him out with a die cut and edged the panel with a gold metallic pen.
For the first card he was printed out a bit smaller than the rest and then layered to an embossed background with snowflakes, and I added some gold corner stickers.
For the rest I layered them to the base cardstock that had been embossed with 'Merry Christmas' and then I added a bit of glitter to the embossed part.
All for today - Take Care
       Tera

Artist Week - Poppy Sprite - Jane's view

Sweet Pea Stamps

Today is my day to showcase and image from Sweet Pea Stamps and this week is Artist Week where the whole team are working with the wonderful images by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.   I have chosen to work with the beautiful image Poppy Sprite  by which is available from the Sweet Pea Store as a rubber stamp.

I started by colouring the image with Promarkers, I do find red such a hard colour to work with but have to admit, I had great fun with this image :)
Next I moved onto my mount.  You know when you find some fabulous paper, buy it and then never use it, well today I decided it was time to cut into a a gorgeous paper I bought about 5 years ago and just have not had the heart to use until now. It has such a beautiful red flocking on it and oooooo so tactile.  Those who know me also know I love tactile card lol.  On the opposite diagonal I backed my card with some ruby red paper and then added red lace on top.  To cover the join of the two areas I added some ribbon.
What other embellishment could be used with the gorgeous Poppy Sprite but poppies.  I don't have a poppy die and although I did design some I ended up using the Pansy die from Sizzix and the stemmed centre is from a Marianne Craftables die. The centre of each petal was air-brushed with a Crimson Promarker.
I needed a bit more black on the card to link up to the the Poppy Sprite underskirt so used another Marianne Design die - branch.  I then used ultra fine black glitter to on the tops of three black brads for the centres of the flowers.  Sorry they are not in the picture, they were to one side drying lol.
To assemble the card I embossed and cut a couple of circles which I mounted the fussy cut digi on.  A small type black peel off birthday sentiment was then place on the red circle.  A doily was then placed behind this grouping and attached to the card.  The finished poppies and leafy branch were then place on the mount and the mount attached to the card.  For the inside, a couple of basic squares using the red paper left over from the poppies and some of the base colour card and a black branch just to bring it all together.

Ingredients:-
  • Image - Poppy Sprite by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff
  • Colouring Medium - Promarkers
  • Dies - Spellbinders Circles and Squares, Sizzix Pansy and Marianne Craftables Branch
  • From my Stash - flock paper, lace, brads, ultra fine glitter, ribbon, doily and peel off Birthday sticker.
Thank you for stopping by today and hope you have a happy crafting time ahead of you :) xx

Amanda Byron's Gabbie Alice in Wonderland with Suzi

Today I'd like to share with you a project I created using one of the gorgeous red rubber stamps from the Sweet Pea Stamp Store, I used the beautiful Gabbie Alice in Wonderland by Amanda S Byron.

You can't beat the quality of these rubber stamps, they stamp beautifully time after time, such a joy to work with.  I stamped Gabbie Alice in Wonderland in Black Tuxedo Memento Ink before colouring her with a mix of Letraset Tria and Promarkers.  I decided to go with a muted colour palette, and teamed my image up with papers from Dovecraft's Curiosity Corner. You can find more pics and details on my blog.

You can get this gorgeous image and lots more of Amanda's beautiful images in gorgeous red rubber stamps right now in the Sweet Pea Stamps Store.

Bye for now

Leprechaun Box Featuring Mitzi Sato Wiuff's Whimsical Little Leprechaun Rubber Stamp

Linda Tagg Mixed Media/2015
Leprechaun Box

Upcyled Tin
Spectrum Noir Markers
Buttons
Ribbon

What is a Leprechaun Box?

On the Eve of St. Patrick's Day,
Leprechauns move their gold to a new hiding place.
If they can find a little box they will use it to hide their gold and afterwards, leave the box behind.
The Leprechauns will also leave a little thank you gift of
chocolate coins or small toys in the box.
This is a fun tradition to start with the little ones in your life.
Make sure to place your Leprechaun Box on a low table so it is easily reached by the Wee Folk.

Fireflies

Good Morning!!!
Denise here and today my DT Inspiration is Janna Prosvirina's 'Fireflies' digital stamp.
Here are some supplies that I used to make my easel card
I colored my image with copic markers and cut out a frame with my cameo.
The butterflies and the sentiment frame are from SU. The frame has a stamp and a matching die cut and I colored it with prisma colored pencils. Oh, the flourish is also a die cut from SU.
I added my sentiment directly on my digi with my digital software from SU also (MDS2)
Then I printed it and colored it with copics
My butterflies are flowing just like  her hair!

The flowers are ribbon roses & paper roses, the leaves are sequins.

REMEMBER HAVE FUN!!!
