Featured Artist Week: Norma J Burnell - Aletha's Card
We have started a new “Artist of the Week” venture that will
happen one week out of every month. Our artist for this month is Norma J. Burnell and her Fairy Tangles rubber stamps. My inspiration piece is created
with the beautiful rubber stamp “Sapphire.” I was itching to touch my Copics to
this tangled fairy.
Copics used:
E000, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 31, 34,
E35, 37, 39, 42, 43, 44, 47, 49
G40, 82, 85, 94, 99
R02, 05, 08, 20
V09, 12, 15
After trimming Sapphire, I distressed the edges with
Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then layered with purple and Kraft cardstock.
The designer paper is from my stash, as are the nail heads. That delicious die
is SCACD’s Dandelion Knoll Corner.
This week SPS is reducing the price of Norma’s Fairy TanglesArt Collection by 15%, which is a steal! SPS’s red rubber stamps are the best
on the market. Before any are shipped, Lynette makes sure that your stamp gives
you the cleanest and most precise stamped image.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure and visit every day for more
inspiration from the talented SPS Design Team.

Featured Artist Week: Norma J Burnell - Ali's Card
This week at Sweet Pea Stamps the Design Team are featuring the artwork of Norma J Burnell in our creations. I chose to use one of her newly-released stamps for my creation - this stamp is called Rayne:
I love the underwater theme of this image and I wanted to colour the skin in cool tones to really convey the idea of her being underwater... so I coloured the image with my Promarkers, using pale blue tones to colour just the shaded areas of skin:
I teamed the image with some gorgeous sea-themed paper in toning colours and added lots of detail with scraps of cheesecloth and pretty flowers...
...and a little charm and a swirl or two of bling. :)
This, and Norma's other fabulous stamps, are available in red rubber format from the Sweet Pea Stamps store and for this week only they are on special offer at 15% discount.

Featured Artist Week: Norma J Burnell - Card by Kym
This is "Featured Artist Week". This will take place one week over the month and a specific artist will be the "artist of the week" so all the Design Team members will make cards/creations using this designer's creations. This month the artist is Norma J Burnell.
There are too many beautiful images of Norma's to choose from but I have used the rubber stamp called "Sapphire". She's a gorgeous lady along with her beautiful bird. I have coloured the image in with my Promarkers and highlighted areas with my white gel pen. I have inked around the image with Tim Holtz's Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans distress inks.
The backing papers I have used are from Summertime Designs and I have edged them all with my Henna Promarker. I have made some flowers out of the papers using a Spellbinders die, scrunched them up, inked around with my Faded Jeans distress ink and held them together with buttons. I have finished the card off with some ribbon, Craftwork Cards die-cut sentiment and pearls.

This is Norma J. Burnells" Dorianna of the Sea". I love this image. It is from her Tangled Collection.

Regan Kubecek's The Fairy and Her Dragon
I just love the new stamps from Regan Kubecek, the newest name to join Sweet Pea Stamps' gallery of amazingly talented artists. I couldn't wait to get creating with these adorable images and I chose to work first with Regan's The Fairy and Her Dragon:
I used the digi stamp version and coloured it with Promarkers and Distress Inks:
I kept my card fairly simple as I just love how this sweet and quirky image looks when coloured in and didn't want to overpower it with an overly fussy card. I used dotted paper and embossed a panel of white card to layer behind the image:
I added ribbon and some pearls and attached the image using foam tape for a touch of dimension. To finish I punched some butterflies from plain white card and added Glossy Accents to the hearts on the image:
Regan's gorgeous range of stamps are available now from the Sweet Pea Stamps store, in both digi and red rubber format.

Lovely works of Teresa Sherman
Hi everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful crafty week. Let me show you a couple of gorgeous stamps that are available both in rubber and in digital format from Sweet Pea artist Teresa Sherman that haven't been featured on the blog yet. This first card is a stunning image called Fan-tasia (Plate #244). This image is simply stunning. I also added one of the vertical sentiments on this card.
Here's a close up of the stamp, which is also sold individually as a digi-stamp. I am using some flocked shimmery Heidi Grace paper as the base of this card. So beautiful.
Hope these cards have inspired you today. Have a very crafty weekend.
Cheers, Holley

In addition this this stunning image, I also made a card using another great stamp from Teresa Sherman called Alad Poor York (plate #213). This stamp is one that I love to use for Halloween as it is coming up so soon. I added a long border die from Spellbinders to fill in the background here.
Since the border was quite long, I cut it into several pcs and then layered the border using pop dots so there are several layers of borders on the card. I also used some fun glitter paper to die cut out some bats. She's wearing skull earrings as well as bats in her hair and snake jewelry which I colored up in purple to go with her bright red outfit. She's decked out for the night!
This fun image is also available as a digi-stamp.
Cheers, Holley

Steampunk Fairy
Hello lovely Ladies. Here is my inspiration for today. I love stamps from Sweet Pea Stamps, and you can find new images almost every day. For today's card i used image Steampunk Fairy by Teresa Sherman. The beautiful thing about it, you can have this image in Red Rubber stamp or Digital image. I colored image with Distress Ink pads, Die cut and inked edges, wile die still attached.
Here is the close up look. My "Elegant Flourishes" i cut out of cereal boxes. It's a free material, you know? lol. Then i used Distress Crackle paint " Tarnished Brass" on the pretty side of swirls, and they looks amazing after paint is dry. Looks rustic, just the way my Steampunk Fairy likes it.
To finish my card i added Gems and 3D's sticker for the sentiment.
I with you all Fairy good Day. Nataliya
