ANNA MARINE

This is another of the gorgeous stamps by Anna Marine - although she's originally drawn as a dark image I like to use them in a much prettier way, not particularly being a fan of gothic and dark themes.

This one is called VAMPIRE but for me I think she makes a much more beautiful image when used in a more vampy/sexy way.

This stamp can also be purchased as a plate (4 stamps) ©Anna Marine's sheet 6, Plate 207

Mood Garden

This image is called Moon Garden, part of plate #124, and is drawn by ching-chou kuik for Sweet Pea Stamps.  I have paired her with some Basic Grey paper and decided she looks wonderful in blue and as a redhead.  How would you color her?

ching chou kuik's sheet #44, plate #211 available for pre-ordering

more details on website

Connie-Wings 'N Things

This lovely stamp titled
"Angel Kisses"
may be found on plate #17 or by clicking
It is unique in that there are both large and small images
of different angels with several very
nice verses as well.
When I saw this pretty paper by DCWV I knew
I would use it, just had to find a Sweet Pea stamp
that went with it!
Several dies were used:
ivy die by Poppystamps
butterfly die by Cheery Lynn Designs
label 16 die by Spellbinders
pearls by Kaiser
gold leaf pen by Krylon
paper by DCWV "Mariposa"
I cut vellum for underlaying the butterfly wings
but you can't see it very well.
Run and check out those older Sweet Pea stamps
and you will find some very good deals!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Seasons Winter

Hi everyone, today I want to show you a new card I just created with one of the fabulous images from  Rebecca Sinz' 'Seasons Winter'. It is available as a single stamp, but also on Plate #200 together with three more amahzing images of all three other seasons. Although it is called Seasons Winter I decided to colour this beautiful image in more autumnal colours with my Distress Inks.

Here's a close up of the image...

Thank you so much for looking. Wish you a wonderful day!

Dusty Rose and Forest Companion

Here's a striking image from Sweet Pea artist Joanne Schempp called Dusty Rose. I will confess that I was not hooked on this image when I first saw it, I got hooked by this image when I saw several other design team members make some amazing projects, check out their stunning creations to see my inspiration.
I had to choose my favorite colors, of course, which is a warm tone, reds and oranges, also as summer approaches, I tend to use more and more in that color family. I think she looks delightful in that color. Even though her coloring is very bright, I still kept a dusty rose color. I added a small vellum saying "All I need is your Love" which I think is very fitting for this card. Here's a close up of the stamp image. Isn't Joanne Schempp a wonderful artist? She has many brand new stamps available at the store right now.
I think springtime is perfect for showing faries with baby animals. This wonderful Sweet Pea stamp is called Forest Companion (Plate #110). I colored her up in greens for the season, but artist ching chou-kuik also did a stunning job on her coloring, so check it out on the website to see how differently it looks.

I am using some paper from WE R Memory Keepers and cardstock from Neenah and DCWV; A beautiful border punch from Martha Stewart; great ribbon from Prima; a die cut from Lifestyles and a lovely saying from Sweet Pea stamps;  I hope these cards make you want to stamp something beautiful, be it a love card or some springtime cheer.   Check out the wonderful new stamps from artists Terra Biddlespacher and Elisabeth Bell as well as your other favorite artists at the store now!

Cheers, Holley

Fading Love

Today I have a card to share with you.  I wanted to give a romantic feeling to this card.  I am still working on our room addition and I am so ready to get it done. My husband and I started hanging the Drywall last night and before I knew it it was 12:45 am.  We have to get up every morning by 5 am to get ready for work and we still both had to have showers before we could even think about going to bed.  We were covered in drywall dust.

I used Fading Love by ching chou kuiks and you can find her as a single or on sheet #41 Plate #199.

I used some Prima papers, Colorbok die-cut frame behind the image, lace, Spellbinder border and corner die, Wild Orchid Crafts roses and copic markers.

I hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day with their family and friends,

Hugs:)

Connie-Beautiful View

Today I am sharing with you a card I made from
ching-chou kuik's
"The Dragonfly"
This is an exceptionally beautiful
set with a gorgeous image and a lovely verse.
I chose to use only the verse
and paired it with an embossing folder by Sizzix
and a floral die by Magnolia.
I colored the embossing lightly
with Copic markers.
Rounding the corners and adhering
onto green and white cardstock
was all this CAS card needed.

You can find this lovely
mini-plate by clicking

OK here is the last one.....
How Does Your Garden Grow......
way off topic, but to me it is still an art form.
This has been on my mind this past week, what colors I am going to pick this year. I normally do pinks, bluey/ purple and whites. Last year I only did yellows and blues. Hated the yellow flowers and in July dug them up and threw them all away. So.............
What color combination(s) are you using this year for your annual flowers. This could be one, two or how many you are going to use.
You have until 8:00 PM eastern to post your comment.
After 8:00 I will close the comment section.
One winner will be picked for a $20 gift card to
 Sweet Pea Stamps

Blog Candy #2

What is your favorite coloring medium (ex. copics, watercolors paints, watercolor pencils,  prisma pencils, etc)?
Post your comment by 6:00 PM eastern. Comment section will be closed after this.
One Winner will be randomly chosen for a $15 Sweet Pea Stamps Gift Card

Blog Candy #1

I have asked this several times in the past but since I am always adding to my collection, I like to know everyones current favorite.
so......... which stamp is your current favorite? I need the artist and the name of the stamp
I will pick one winner for this one, this one is for a $15 gift card to Sweet Pea Stamps.
You have until 6 pm (eastern time zone) to post, at this time I will close the comment section and randomly pick one winner.
