Sharing

Hi all you awesome Sweet Pea fans.  Today I have a lot to share with you.  This first card I used  Rebecca Sinz "Regal"sheet #2 (Animal Series) Plate #156.

For my second one I used an image by Joanne Schempp called "Blue Pearl" and you can find her on sheet #5, Plate #151

For my 3rd card I used another stamp by Joanne Schempp called  "Barbara's Butterfies" and she can be found on the same sheet as "Blue Pearl"

And for my last card I used another image by Joanne Schempps called  "Draetha"sheet #3, Plate #142, or see can be purchased as a single.

All images can be purchased on a sheet or as a single.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week.

Hugs:)

Connie-Planting Seeds by Valarie Wade

Today I am showing you what I made using Sweet Pea artist Valarie Wade's
"Planting Seeds" image from plate #118
which you can find by clicking

Supplies used:
stamp from Sweet Pea plate #118
Class A'Peels stickers (words)
various gems and jewels from my stash
Spellbinder die "Lacey Ovales"
Copic markers/airbrushing
Cuttlebug embossing folder "D'Vine Swirl"
cardstock/papers unknown

I masked the pretty fairy and airbrushed a light blue
around her.  Masked oval area and airbrushed darker
blue around edges for contrast.
Colored image with Copic markers and added gems here and there for glitz.
I added some white spots that seem to detract rather than add to the
effect I wanted IMO.
Sometimes the hardest part of making a card is knowing when enough is enough??

This card will go to my little 6 year old granddaughter for her birthday
as she loves anything glitzy or sparkly.....

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out plate #118 for
even more delightful images by Valarie Wade.

Halloween in July

Hi my dear Sweet Pea lovers out there. Karina here today. I have three cards to share with you today. Have fun look at them.

Lately I was so much in the mood for making a Halloween card. No wonder if you see those gorgeous new stamps of the fabulous artist ching-chou kuik. Take a look at them HERE. For my card I used 'Duo' and you can find it on plate # 148. On this plate you can find three more amazing Halloween themed image, and comes as a single stamp as well.

For this card I used a paper I love so much. It is perfect for Halloween themed cards. It is from My Mind's Eye and is called Blackbird. The borders I punched out is from the backside of this paper. I used a grass die from Magnolia for this. Coloured as mostly with Distress Inks on heavy Watercolour Paper.

The next card is made with another beautiful stamp from the ching-chou kuik's Fantasy Art collection. It is an elder one but still one of my faves. This beauty is called 'Purple Comfort' and you can find this stamp on plate # 47, where she comes with three more amazing images. Available as a single stamp as well on SALE right now!!

For this card I used this wonderful paper from Bo Bunny called Jazmyne Twilight. Border die is from Magnolia and the flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts. The gems and ribbon is from my stash. Coloured as well with Distress Inks on 300 gram Watercolour Paper.

And the third and last card I show you today is made with an image by the wonderful artist Karen Middleton. It is called 'Fairy Friends'. You can find this sweet image on plate # 114 together with three more cute images. And is available as a single stamp as well.

For this card I challenged myself with not using any designer papers. So instead I took out my embossing folders which gives a nice effect as well. I distressed it a bit to give it more effect. I really use those folders too less. I guess I have to change that. The leaf punch is from Martha Stewart, the other ones are from Spellbinders. The other embellishments are from my stash. And coloured here again with Distress Inks on heavy Watercolour paper.

I hope you enjoyed taking a journey through my latest creations. I am glad you've visited us which is always so much appreciated. Have a wonderful and magical day.

Hugs, Karina

Spring Butterfly

Here's a beautiful image from Sweet Pea artist ching-chou kiuk called Spring Butterfly. This stamp is sold individually or on Plate #143. My coloring of this image is so different from the artist depiction. Be sure to go an look at the link I included to see how the artist colored the image, then you can see how different it looks here with the color palette that I selected.

I added a sweet saying from plate #77 "Garden Fairies come at dawn Bless the flowers, then they're gone." She looks just like a Garden Fairy doesn't she? playing with the butterflies? I added some simple flowers and bling along with a cute butterfly. I used a wonderful die cut frame from Spellbinders to cut out my image.

Hope you have a Fairy Happy Day!

Cheers, Holley

Joanne Schempp's Wings of Love

How much can I love a stamp? Enough to marry it? well then, Joanne Schempp's WINGS OF LOVE... Will you marry me? This is such a cool stamp and I had a great time creating with it! This card just sort of evolved and the inspiration was the sparkly paper. It is yellow and has a purple flare to it. Of course... it NEVER photographs well... but it made me get out the purple and yellow and start creating!
This is a close up of the details and the flowers that I made as well...
I love stamps that need to be colored... they make me happy and I love the creative process that goes into it!
AND... it helps me keep my sanity!
Thanks for popping in and have a lovely day!

Little Lady Bug

I love the fairy-tale feel of this Joanne Schempp image called Lady Bug.
The beautiful fairy girl holding a light over the little lady bug is truly sweet.
The image has been coloured with Copics, but I chose softer colours to match the gentle tone of this stamp.
The black cardstock was my way of adding contrast to the card.
This really is a precious image.
It can be purchased on its own or on sheet #1, plate #130 with three other equally sweet images.

Thank you so much for joining me today
Hugs Renee

A Pair by ching chou kuik

Today I would like to share two cards with you, both images come from the ching-chou kuik collection.

This first card features the image titled Peony, I just love the little bird in her hand, so sweet. She was colored with copics, prima flowers and papers, and a sticker sentiment.

My second card features In the Wind, doesn't she look dreamy? Also colored with copics, the papers are prima and the flowers are Hero Arts.

I hope you have enjoyed your stop today, I love to see your comments. Have a great week!

Birthday Packages

Who doesn't like packages, especially when they are wrapped all pretty and filled with gifts, right?

Cupcakes and Presents, Plate #31 is one of my favorite sets because it's so versatile and can be colored very quickly. And that, my friends, is always a good thing because I am always doing things at the last minute :-).
I again went to my favorite standby for the sentiment, Simply Verticals, Plate #4 and just cut the letters apart to create the sentiment horizontally.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all the sales over at the Sweet Pea Stamps shop.....

Little Sweetheart

Some of my favorite 'cute' images available are the Little Sweethearts by Samantha Rawlings for Sweet Pea Stamps.  There are actually three different sheets and this cutie is on the most recent one, plate #125.

I can not remember which plate this sentiment is from, but it seems to fit perfectly with this Sweetheart.

Get Inky!
Alex

Sakura Spirit

Here's a great stamp called Sakura Spirit designed by Sweet Pea artist Merdith Dillman (plate #137). I love her wonderful images. I really wanted this image to stand out on a card, so I used a simple background of metallic glazed paper and added a wonderful punch on top in a color that matched her eyes. I used five shades of blues on her outfit and extremely pale colors on her skin tones, almost like china white. Though the image is not an anime image at all, it very much makes me think of that due to the color scheme that I chose.

Meredith Dillman has a huge variety of images and they are all very detailed and wonderful fun for coloring, which I enjoy! She's definitely one of my Sweet Pea favorites.

Have a great day!

Connie-Purple Autumn

Would you believe this whole card came about all because of that
strip of DP along the left side?
Of course the beautiful image "Purple Autumn" by Artist Ching-Chou Kuik
(plate 129) doesn't hurt either.
I trimmed it out of the pretty backdrop though so if you want
to see this image in all its' original glory click

and check it out!

Supplies used:
DP by Prima "Fairy Flora"
flowers from cake aisle at Michael's "Table Confetti"
(these were airbrushed with Copic markers)
gems and pearls from $1 section at Target
Doily Die by Cheery Lynn Designs "Italian Flourish"

I made the aqua background paper by smooshing ink pads
across glossy cardstock since I did not have any of that
color on hand.
I also airbrushed the doily diecut to match.
(it does match in colors but scan doesn't show it)
*TIP*
When cutting an intricate die such as this type it works very well
to place a piece of wax paper between die and cardstock.  I had no problem getting all the tiny
cuts to fall out.

Thanks for looking and thanks for stopping by!
Connie

I Made This...AND Made it up... ALL BY MYSELF!!!

I love Karen Middleton's art. The whimsy of these darling little images really appeals to me! SO... when I saw this darling little fairie princess... I knew it had to be special... and one thing led  to another... and here is my creation... A birthday and special occasion reminder, date book , and note pad for gifts...
ALL IN ONE PLACE!!! I made this from a CD folder that I purchased on line.
This is the cover... I got a little bit carried away...but that is not unusual for me!!!I even made the LARGE
 3-D flowers myself too!!!

here is a close up of the precious little gal
Inside, there is a little calendar on one side and it is mounted on a pocket that you can use for notes or receipts!

close up...

on the opposite side there is a spot for 3 tabbed pages to jot notes, dates or gift ideas on... and a little altered notepad as well! I embossed the word CELEBRATE with a stamp from Karen Middleton's sheet 14 plate 161! Thanks for popping in and I hope you enjoyed this project!
