Jennifer Nilsson's My Sister and Me
Here's a wonderful new stamp designed by one of the newest artists, Jennifer Nilsson. This image is called My Sister and Me and comes from Plate 80. What a sweet stamp! I just love this darling image. Instantly I wanted to make a simple beach card that I could highlight with this image on top of it.I also used some adorable laser die cut seashells and some wonderful dragonflies. I added a small sun brad that says "Memories". To show the ocean I put in some torn paper in blue and some "foam" using paper in white. The sheet of stamps from Jennifer are super cute, including this stamp, a great Sea Dragon, a Flower Fairy and an adorable hatching dragon. Be sure to take a peek at all of them on the Sweet Pea Stamps website!

Connie-SNEAK PEEK! New image by Linda Biggs
This beautiful image is a new line coming soon.
Brought to you by Sweet Pea Stamps and new artist, Linda Biggs.
She has many gorgeous images coming your way and all may be pre-ordered now!
I colored the image with Copic markers and stippled tan ink "Desert Sand by
CTMH" around it, then trimmed it out.
I matted on some tan paper and set aside.
For the base I used green, then tan and then some designer paper
I got from Oriental Trading.
Added a large flower by Prima "Island Pastel" with a
Really Big Brad in the center.
Some small jewels here and there to finish it off.
I am really excited about all the new artists coming aboard and
urge you to check out their new offerings. Click the link below to see what
we have for YOU!
Fairy Friend
Here's a wonderful stamp from Sweet Pea stamps. This stamp comes from artist Lisa Victoria's Fantasy collection (Plate #72) and is called "Fairy Friend". I love this adorable girl and her little dragon friend; what a cute duet!
This small highlight shows little fairy with the dragon sitting on her shoulder. Too cute. I colored her with copic markers using several shades a blue and using shades R24, 27 and 29 for the tiny dragon.

I used Nestabilities to cut out the Fairy and her dragon and picked an adorable saying to go with them "Let the little Fairy in you fly!" (Plate #24).
Have a great day! May everyone let their fairy fly today!

Let Your Light Shine featuring "Sugar and Spice Dragon"
What a fun project! This is my first project using one of Jennifer Nilsson's images. I had a great time choosing papers and colors to use on this little cutie! Jennifer has some wonderful images now available at Sweet Pea Stamps! You will certainly want to check them out! I'm sorry I can't give you better direction on how I made the glittery background paper....it was years ago. All I can recall is that I used glittery acrylic paint. I love how this image worked so well with the Smooch and Glossy Accent products! Who doesn't enjoy some sparkle?

Snow Queen
My most favorite Fairy artist EVER is Linda Biggs. When I learned that Sweet Pea Stamps was going to have stamps designed by her I did a happy dance in my living room. I am still on cloud nine!!!! Even better, I got to play with one of them! Here is Snow Queen by Linda Biggs for Sweet Pea Stamps.
I added shimmer to her wings, edge of the dress, boots and hose. She is a beautiful fairy and almost makes me wish for winter.
I am so excited about all of the new artists Sweet Pea Stamps has been adding lately. There is some amazing talent and I can't wait to get my hands on ALL of them!!! Have you checked it out? If not, you need to and if you haven't in the last two weeks you need to again!!!!

Linda Biggs and Jennifer Nilsson
Hi everyone. I have some cards to share with you using 2 of our new artist... Linda Biggs and Jennifer Nilsson. For the first one I used Mark Browne from Sheet #2 Plate #83. I decided to color the image similar to the original artwork as Linda's coloring is so bright and cheerful. I colored it with copic markers
These 2 I used an image from Jennifer Nilsson called Daisy Flower Fairy. She is from Sheet #1 Plate #80 or you can purchase her individually.
Grungy, Distressed and ooh so Cute....
Hey everyone, Micki here and I'm so excited to share this card with you guys.
This is "Loves Me" illustrated by one of Sweet Pea Stamps' new artist, Linda Biggs and is available for pre-order HERE.
Fun....omg, I had fun with this image, possibly because I looked at the image and immediately had some ideas. That and that this image screams grunge, distressed, heavy metal which was my first love back when I embarked in this stamping adventure :-)! LOL, this love even transfered over to my photography.
The image is colored with Copics first, then I went over it with colored pencils. For the background, I used a gray (very chalky) colored pencil blended with Futuro Floor Polish and a blending stump. The blue underneath the flower is me experimenting by taking the blending stump and picking up some blue pearlescent chalk (Peebles, Inc.).
I dug out my jewelry making supplies to add some 'metal', lol. Also added the safety pin which is a little too big to add directly on the image but works great on the card front.

Butterfly Hearts
Hi Sweet Pea Stampers, Micki here.
With all the gorgeous new stamps Sweet Pea Stamps has been releasing, sometimes I tend to forget about the beautiful older stamps in my arsenal. Plate #27 is a wonderful set of stamps that lend themselves to just about any theme or sentiment.
So for my card today, I played with my Sizzix Movers & Shakers die to create a window card which I thought would highlight the small Butterfly Heart from Plate #27 perfectly.
I'm ashamed to say that I"ve had this die for two years now and this is the first time I've used it. I did have a little trouble making sure the inside panel with the butterfly hearts lined up right, but then had a 'lightbulb' moment and used a plastic report cover (die cut) as a template.
I used the sentiment 'Amore' that comes on Plate #27 paired with a metal heart from my stash.
To add just a little pop of color, I used red embroidery floss on the metal heart.

Here's another look at the card.
Gotta love this awesome plate. So versatile oh and also perfect for technique backgrounds. Hm..... I think I'm off to play some more.
Happy Shimmery Halloween
Stamp: Elaine Cox -"Twilight Halloween"
I just love these larger Elaine Cox Halloween witches! So much great detail. For my card today, I colored with Copics. I spent quite a bit of time coloring and then decided I didn't like it. But, I had already invested so much time in it, I decided I'd alter it somehow....so, I sprayed Coffee Shop glimmer mist all over it!! Glimmer mist makes everything better! ;o) I made the polka dots on the butterfly with the walnut stain Distress Stickles. And, I used more of that addictive Tim Holtz Tissue Tape in Hobgoblin.
Copic Markers: Cape/Hat: W7, W6, W3, E70, E71, RV00; Skin: E51, E42; Hair: W3, E40, B60, G000, BV31; Dress: E40, B41, W3; Tree: E35, E33, E74, RV06; Background: V09, RV06, B00

3 cards to share today
Tonight I wanted to share with you another Sweet Pea Stamps Christmas card. I used one of ching chou kuiks Christmas images called "Poinsettia Fairy" sheet #21/ Plate #60 and you can get her as a single or as a sheet with 3 other gorgeous Christmas images at Sweet Pea Stamps.
Here is "Zam" by Brigid Ashwoods. I love her Manga inspired Phunky Pharies. They have the cutest little faces. I had a blast coloring this image and feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful DT.
I colored the background with Twinkling H20's and the image with copics. I can't believe how many Christmas cards I have made already this year.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: MS Christmas DP from last year, image was stamped on Mohawk white CS
Accessories: Prima flowers and leaves, gold bling for flower centers, background of image was colored with copics then I painted it with Twinkling H20's. I also added some sparkle with a Clear Sakura glitter pen and some green to the leaves, gold and green ribbon (the green ribbon was sent to me from my blogging friend Sarah)
You will have to forgive my pic's as it was dark when I took this pics and the colors are so bright they would had turned out better if I could had taken them outside with natural light. I wish you could see it in person.
Here he is with a totally different look.
Don't you love this card?? I created this card for my 16 year old Daughter who is crazy about Adam Lambert!! I think this image looks just like Adam except for the wings and longer hair. I used one of Sweet Pea Stamps new images by Brigid Ashwood and his name is "Zam" from her Phunky Phairies. He also reminds me of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter and Edward Scissorhands. So this image would be perfect for a Tim Burton Film challenge(TBD).Thursday, October 28, 2010

Bubble Bubble
Hi everyone :) For my card today, I decided to ink up this adorable image from Sweet Pea Stamps. This particular image is illustrated by Elaine Cox and you can find it HERE. Isn't she cute? I colored the image with copics and then added Glossy Accents to the liquid in the cauldron and the bubbles (this is hard to see in the photos). Once the Glossy Accents was dry, I added some Stardust Stickles to the bubbles as well. I also added stickles to the fire. Next I created my card base out of SU cardstock. My DP is from MME and Cosmo Cricket. I also added an orange ribbon and a double looped bow (tied with my bow easy). For some finishing touches, I added a Prima flower, and a rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. What do you think?
Well, that's it from me today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs, Christine

Thanks a munch
Ok, so it's a slightly corny sentiment, but I wanted this to be a thank-you card and this is the best I could do, lol. I hope it makes sense to you using "munch" instead of "bunch". I'd definitely like to munch some of those cakes!
Since I've been a bit tired of Halloween and autumn themed cards I decided on something totally different. It might have been a good idea to start on my Christmas cards, but that would be out of character for me. Why not saving it until the very last minute instead, lol.
So for today's card I've been colouring one of Samantha Rawling's cuties called cake girl. I got myself these patterned papers a while ago and as soon as the stamp came through my mailbox I've been wanting to use them together.
She is coloured with my promakers and cut out using one of the nestabilities. The edges are "burnt" with walnut stain distress ink. The little tag is a cuttlebug die and the text is written by hand (it shows unfortunately) I like how the smaller squares turned out. I rounded two corners - diagonally. I think it creates a look like they are spritzed out, kind of like whipped cream or even the girl's hat. I also added some glitter to some of the details on the patterned paper and a little liquid pearls to the whipped cream on the girl's piece of cake
Magical Masked Fairy
Oooo this was so much fun! I love this yummy color combination and the sparkles oh my! This beauty is "purple hearts". I love how the image just begged me to add sparkle and shimmer! She was so much fun to color!
